THE 351's

The 351's were formed in September 2023.

Kev was playing guitar with The Rudesters (formerly The Cranky's) when Dom joined them as the new (and last) singer followed shortly after by Tin as the new (and last) drummer.

Tired of the misconduct and all the bullshit from bass player M.(giving the band a bad reputation within the local scene), Kev decided to leave The Rudesters. "This was my last rehearsal with you guys...I'm fed-up" »

The Rudesters died that day.

But Kev wasn't done with music... "The thing is, I really liked Dom and Tin, we got along well, we had fun together..."

So Kev asked Dom if he was willing to play bass and asked Tin if he still wanted to play drums... and start a new band!

The name of the group comes from Steven Spielberg's first film, Duel, it is the model of the truck (a Peterbilt 351*).
“I have been a truck driver for 30 years. For me, the 351 (made from 1954 to 1966) is the most beautiful truck ever made, I've always loved it, and in this movie, the truck is old, rusty and mean... a bit like us, like our sound. »
Dom likes horror movies, he likes the movie and Tin also has to deal with trucks; the name struck us like an old pair of Dr. Martens!

For their first year, the 351's gave half a dozen concerts across Quebec (and even one in Maine USA) and recorded an EP to be released soon!

The 351's a été formé en septembre 2023.

Kev jouait de la guitare avec The Rudesters (anciennement The Cranky's) lorsque Dom les a rejoint en tant que nouveau (et dernier) chanteur suivi peu de temps après par Tin en tant que nouveau (et dernier) batteur.
Fatigué et ayant plein l'cul du mauvais comportement et de la bullshit du bassiste (donnant au groupe une mauvaise réputation à l'intérieur de la scène locale), Kev a décidé de quitter The Rudesters. « C'était ma dernière répétition avec vous les gars... j'en ai marre ! »

Les Rudester sont morts ce jour-là.

Mais Kev n'en avait pas fini avec la musique... « Le truc, c'est que j'aimais beaucoup Dom et Tin, on s'entendait bien, on avait du fun ensemble... »

Kev a donc demandé à Dom s'il était prêt à jouer de la basse et à Tin s'il voulait toujours jouer de la batterie...et monter un nouveau groupe! 

Le nom du groupe vient du premier film de Steven Spielberg, Duel, il s'agit du modèle du camion (un Peterbilt 351*).
«Je suis chauffeur de camion depuis 30 ans. Pour moi, le 351 (fabriqué de 1954 à 1966) est le plus beau truck jamais fabriqué, je l'ai toujours adoré, et dans ce film, le camion est vieux, rouillé et méchant... un peu comme nous, comme notre son. [...] Dom aime les films d'horreur, il aime le film et Tin doit aussi s'occuper de camions ; le nom nous fit comme une vieille paire de Dr. Martens ! »

Pour leur première année, les 351's ont donné une demi-douzaine de concerts à travers le Québec (et même un dans le Maine USA) et ont enregistré un EP à paraître prochainement !
